Captains's Log Entry:

Creepy Costume Conundrums

Halloween is fast approaching and as usual, even though I know I don't have much time left, I have procrastinated-again-about Halloween costumes for the kids.

This year, however, I can honestly say that it's not 100% my fault.

Lots of stuff has been going on around here-not that you don't want to hear about any of that-but I haven't had time to really give the idea of making costumes this year a lot of thought, let alone planning.

And my 3 year old has informed me that homemade costumes are "stupid" and has changed his mind (daily) about weather to be a pumpkin or something else...

So I've decided, to my own disappointment, that I'm going to wait to the last minute to just buy a couple costumes so he can't throw a fit the day of Halloween that he doesn't like it and won't wear it.

Not that I'm a push over parent and would actually go back and exchange it (like HELL would I do that-pardon my French by the way) BUT I vehemently refuse to drag a toddler around trick-or-treating while he's kicking and screaming the whole way while trying to show my 1 year old daughter how fun it is to dress up and celebrate Halloween.

And no, leaving him at home isn't going to be an option because the husband is working that night and sitters around here are booked up in advance.

Besides, that's not really fun. Even though staying home has been his preference the last couple years. So we will see.

And unfortunately, you won't be seeing any cool tutorials or ideas for costumes this year (or, if I'm being more realistic, a frantic, panic induced post about finishing costumes at the last minute...ha). How about you? Buying or making this year? Any parties you plan on attending? Or maybe you're hosting?

I'd love to hear all about it!

As always.

xoxo,

LittleGypsyRed
