Captains's Log Entry:

Cob Webs Count as Halloween Decorations, Right?

I love to decorate.

But Halloween is one of my favorite reasons to decorate.

Here's a bit of a sneak peak of what I've been up to around the house. I have a few more ideas that I'll hopefully get to share with you all. But for now, it's a start.

The kids are still itty bitty, so I don't plan on going "super scary" for a while. A long while. Don't want to scare them out of liking scary stuff, ha.

So it's cutesy fall and cutesy Halloween, which is just as good :).

All the decorations here are store bought (from the wonderful Grandma Carla-she's awesome) except for the letters I have hanging on the mantle behind the sheer cloth. I made those last year and was surprised, when I got them back out, that they were still in good shape.

If you'd like to know how I made them, I could include a tutorial at some point. I think I'm going to do that anyway, because you can make any message you want with these and they're super easy. Literally took MAYBE 30 minutes tops (with the gathering of materials, planning and putting it all together-and of course in between wrangling two toddlers..). So it would probably take a lot less time to actually sit down and do it if it weren't for the kids destroying the house while I attempted to make parts of it pretty haha. In one of my next posts I'll squeeze in the how-to.

How do you decorate for Halloween? I would love to see pictures! Do you even celebrate it? If not, how else do you celebrate the fall season? Have you gotten costume planning out of the way? I have procrastinated thus far, and it's going to bite me in the rear if I don't kick it in gear soon...

I look forward to hearing some cool stuff from you all!

Enjoy the changing season.

As always,

xoxo,

LittleGypsyRed
