Anchors Away
Hiya Mateys!
Oh boy, the title, man. It means a lot and not so much at the same time. For me, anyway. After a long (and I mean long) time of wrestling with the idea of a personal blog and switching from several platforms, it's weird (in a scary, but overall good kind of way, that is) to be making regular posts. It's a big step. But in the same breath, it's not all that huge, because it is just the beginning. We still have a lot of work to do. And this week has already been very busy, as I'm sure it's been for all of you as well.
I've always found the transition from one season to another to be eventful. Not in the same way that switching from holiday to holiday may seem monumentous, but it always "feels" like something big is about to happen when spring turns to summer, summer to fall and fall to winter. But I think my favorite transition is watching summer slowly fade to fall. There's still some green here and there. And while life is slowly dying outside, it's at it's most beautiful just bejore it fades away to the quiet whites and greys of winter-the penultimate chapter before life begins again.
Speaking of holidays, it's getting close to one of my favorites-Halloween. I'm super excited and have been pondering costume ideas for our kiddos. Should be a stressful-but-definitely-worth-it process. Keep a look out for some "mischievous" posts that I have in store when you check back periodically.
In the meantime, I'm still plugging away at getting some of my major projects for SteamReapers rolled out of the shop and onto your screens. I'm slowly working everything into my routine and making sure to keep you all up to date. Eventually, I'll have ACTUAL THINGS to show you instead of just some words and a few pretty pictures I've made, ha.
I hope that, at the very least, I'm entertaining.
That's all for now.
xoxo,
